本日のインターネット大障害。Amazon EC2のパンクによりFoursquare、Instagram、Quora、Redditなどに影響拡大

Screen Shot 2011-08-08 at 7.47.36 PM数時間前、ウェブを使おうとしてパニックになった人も多いと思う。大規模障害が発生していたようだ。

障害が発生して数分のうちに数多くの情報が寄せられた。Twitter、Amazon EC2サービスなどがダウンしていた模様だ。これにともなってReddit、Heroku、Foursquare、Instagram、Fab、Quora、Turntable.fm、Netflixなど、数多くのサイトがダウンすることとなった。

どこかで聞いたような話？ そう、4月にも同様の事象が発生している。障害発生から30分ほどは各地に混乱が広がった。

Update：障害はEAST-1限定のものだったようだ。EC2すべてがダウンしたわけではなかったそうだ。しかしそれでも上に記したサービス等、数百ものサービスが影響を受けたとのこと。

Update 2：障害は発生後40分ほどでおさまったようだ。Amazonのステータスサイトでも障害はおさまったと報告されている。
